Jovana

Jovana, her sister and Janitza, mom Angelica and dad Luis were so much fun to shoot. Angelica was so prepared with her family and all the clothes and color combinations. BEAUTIFUL taste! GREAT job Angelica. Your home and its spirit is so warm and homey! I hold precious and dear a new friendship with you all. ;)

Ezra and Brian

Brian posing for me with the famous "Nicky" pose ;) Can't see the muscles under that jacket!!!

I took a few pictures of our Ez today at the Arboretum. Tonight when I was looking through them, Brian and I were amazed that we see a glimpse of what our little 3 year old may look like in about 10 years. He is growing up so fast. We love him and are caaaarrrraaaazzzzzeeee about this kid!!!!

The Cox Family

This is the Cox Family of Rancho Cucamonga. What a cutie family. We had fun last Saturday shooting their family portraits at their home. You may notice the beautiful door that Nigel made. I LOVED it. Great craftsmanship Nigel. I just wanted to post a few of my favorites of this beautiful family. :D

The Johnson Family

The Johnson family. Jo Jo to the left, daddy John, momma Lora and son Jaime. Lora has been one of my friends since our older boys (16-ish) have been babies! What a beautiful family. AND all INCREDIBLE cooks. Thanks guys for your graciousness and hospitality. The LORD bless your home and marriage and parenting!!! LOVE you ALL!!!!

My friend Jo Jo

Couldn't Jo Jo play Huck Finn or Tom Sawyer in a remake? Common somebody ....do you agree with me?

Jo Jo Johnson

During our walk in the wash :P

Jo Jo Johnson

Here's my new buddy Jo Jo! Oh my, I would totally LOVE to hang out with this spunky little boy. We had family portraits first with momma Lora (one of my BFF!!!), daddy John and big brother Jaime (one of my son Ryan's BFF!!!)

Anyhow, after all the serious stuff for Christmas cards, I asked Jo Jo to come outside with me to go take some pictures. I felt like we turned the pages of Tom Sawyer or....maybe more like Huck Finn. We were both barefoot, with a chill in the air and the sun starting to set, I knew we were in for an adventure. Jo Jo went running down his yard toward a gate and said, "follow me!" Off we went in through a gate and up a path near a wash. Jo Jo immediately went into the wash...so I followed him. He talked and opened up and showed me the ropes of his "backyard." He seemed really familiar with the tunnels and dogs barking. Even running back up the embankment toward the dogs as he ran his hand along the fence as the dogs jumped wildly at him. YES, he was teasing them. He climbed up a bridge and crossed dangerously high above another bridge crossing. He told me we had to be careful because sometimes they release LOTS of water. I can imagine Jo Jo living out in the country climbing trees, catching frogs, snakes, worms, fish. I LOVE this kid! More to come of Jo Jo.

The Cox Family

Today I had so much fun photographing the Cox Family in their home in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Little Philip is 6 years old and big brother James (who had to run off to work at one of my FAVORITE stores....Fresh n Easy!) and I finally got to meet my beautiful friend Valerie's hubby Nigel. Ya gotta LOVE the English accent! What a warm and lovely home they have. Ready for the Christmas season, Valerie had her Christmas tree decorated in gold, warm red and peacock blue (with peacock feathers). The most unique tree I have ever seen.
P.S. VAL...you are GORGEOUS!!!!

The Elisaldez Family

What a joy it was to photograph the Elisaldez family at Heritage Park last week. So many beautiful images to last and keep a lifetime...and to pass on for generations! These are just a few portraits that I have started with. More to come....enjoy :D

Summer Day

Doesn't this look like it should be on a canvas over a fireplace or in a huge hallway in a castle in England? Well, that is what it reminds me of. I'm loving these SR Textures!

Vintage Misha

Having so much fun playing with my new "Scott Robert Textures".... I LOVE them all!
I had so much fun spending the afternoon with my beautiful friend Michelle Ruff. Michelle is owner of "Vintage Junkee" a new furniture business getting ready to launch. So we needed some head shots for her new website which will be up and running soon. Michelle got a lot of attention this afternoon. Lots of whistles and glances her way. Funny thing was that we were in an alley and back parking lots and still people were noticing!

Brittany Varley

This last weekend I had the privilege to have a photo session with Brittany Varley. Brittany is a professional dancer/actress. Keep watch for this lovely young lady, she may very well be up on the BIG screen soon. You may recognize her from some maternity images a few months back. She is now proud mommy to "Emma Elizabeth" who is just getting ready to turn 2 months old. Can you believe this pretty lady just had a baby less than 2 months ago? So we headed over to Tia Juana's off of the 5 fwy and Sand Canyon. Brittany was up for anything, even the train tracks, the wind was blowing and it was a hot day. We ended up heading over to Irvine Spectrum for some last minute shots. More to come of Brittany soon...

Gina and Adam

Is this little lady beautiful or what? Inside and out!!! Gina's spirit is so gentle and humble, she is kind and full of the love of the LORD! It was a blessing to photography Gina and her hubby Adam. They both look like SUPERMODELS eh?! I met Adam's mom about 7 years ago and she has been a wonderful friend ever since. I am truly blessed to get to know Adam and Gina. I hope our friendship will continue on years down the road. Well, we got to take these shots at a cove in Laguna. A new beach spot that I LOVE! The beach faces southwest so it is GREAT lighting as the sun is setting. We had a great afternoon full of laughs! I did get soaked by a wave and backed up into a hole dug by a child....yep, I fell in backwards...legs straight up in the air....BUT...I did save the camera. We all laughed and laughed. LOL!

Jeannette and Al's Engagement Session

Jeannette and Al opted for a Venice Beach and Malibu Beach Engagement session. Jeannette was so brave, I told her we could change the date because the weather looked "ify"!!! She said, "Let's do it anyways!" Some of the following photos are the result. Their pics turned out so cool. I could only BLOG some, but there were literally about 100 really good shots.
When we got to Venice Beach it was windy and a bit cold, but we had fun. Al is such a sweetheart and so easy going. It was wonderful through the afternoon to see their personalities unfold. Once we got in the car and headed up the coast to Malibu....the wind really started kicking in. As a photographer, I thought, "Oh my Lord!!! What are we instore for? This is horrible. How am I going to shoot this couple in ALMOST hurricane type weather?" It was BLOWING HARD! AND it was soooo COLD! We headed up to El Matador and then decided to turn around and head back to Zuma. One of the benefits of the cold windy day was that there were NO people on the beach!!!! Jeannette was shivering, I couldn't believe we were doing this. We stepped out onto the beach with blankets wrapped around Jeannette. Our first stop, a lifegaurd stand. "ok you two, hop up, leave the blanket with me. Let's shoot!" Up they went and as cold as it was, they both were having so much fun and their love warmed things up. I and I think you too, will be able to see the true fun they were having. There are some shots with the blanket to try and warm Jeanette up...but she was a real trooper in her beautiful chiffon dress. What memories they will have of this afternoon and the weather behind the pictures! FUN!!!
