A Weekend To Remember

Brian and I had our 1st get away in about 3 years. WOW...LONG overdo! We went to a marriage conference that was held in Ventura, CA at the Marriot by Family Life called A Weekend To Remember. It was good teaching of the Bible with much encouragement to spouses. We really enjoyed it and look forward to going again soon. While in Ventura we snuck down to a beach where they were surfing with parasails, videoing a surf documentary (even though there wasn't much surf happening bro...and just taking in the cool weather. While on the beach I spotted w sisters having so much fun together, I was drawn to there purity of fun and self confidence. Mom and dad were taking shots of there little models with a family camera to capture the "moment". I made my way down and introduced myself and asked their dad Paolo if he would mind if I could take some shots of the girls. He said, "sure" with a smile. With a name like Paolo, you can bet they were Italiano!!! They had that Eurapean flair and style, self assuredness and friendliness. It was a blessing to meet them.

Happy 13th Joshua!

What an honor it was to be invited and photograph Joshua Ortega's Bar Mitvah! Happy 13th Birthday Joshua! I have to say my friends Carol and Tony Ortega have done a phenomenal job with their son. They are so proud. He truly has been shaped and molded into a fine young man.

A Day at the Races

Amanda McGrath, Nick and Darling Leila!

What a joy it was to wake up early Wednesday morning and go out and photograph Amanda, Nick and their beautiful daughter Leilas! I love that name and the spelling, way cool! I found this beautiful field and hill in Chino Hills,CA of all places! Who woulda thought, eh? Well besides the snake holes and sticker thorns Nick and Amanda had all over their pants...it was a delightful morning with them. This cute little family is adorable and natural and real. They were so easy to photograph, just capturing them in their moments. Their love for each other and toward their Leila exudes from them in their looks and smiles. Leila loves her mommy and daddy too! Beautiful.

Model for the Day!

My hubby was my model for the day. We had the BEST day!!! We took Ez to the Arboreteum and i was really in the mood to "capture" my husband and images of our little Ez in action! I will post the pics of Ez in action soon. He ran up and down the Gazebo Wedding lawn about 20 times, jumped off of rocks and the poor peocock he was hounding. Brian and I had LOL, tears even from laughing so hard. We saw so many new and beautiful things we have never seen before at the ARB! Orchids and greenhouses, tropical and exotic flowers and TONS of aloe plants, which we are very familiar with since Brian's burns on his arm. What a wonderful and FUN day we had!
